Elwine Kaschner (DE)

Elwine Kaschner has more than 26 years of experience as a senior patent paralegal, including a long-standing role at KUHNEN & WACKER in Freising, Germany, where she supervises the daily operations of the patent department with a strong focus on formal matters and HR responsibilities, including the training of apprentices.

Alongside her role at KUHNEN & WACKER, she has been a dedicated seminar speaker at Akademie Heidelberg for over 12 years, specializing in patent law. Elwine is also a member of the EPAC Board of the European Patent Office and serves on the Examination Board for patent paralegals at the Chamber of Patent Attorneys in Munich, contributing to the Vocational Training Committee.

In 2024, she further strengthened her professional profile by publishing a book dedicated to formal aspects of patent law.

Richard Magnusson (SE)

Richard is Head of Digital IP Services at Bryn Aarflot and a specialist in corporate domain management and online brand protection, with extensive experience in safeguarding and strengthening brands in the digital environment. He works closely with clients to develop and implement strategies that protect corporate interests while enhancing online brand presence across global markets.

He advises on a wide range of digital IP matters, including risk assessments, strategic planning, domain acquisitions, and enforcement against online infringements. Richard has held senior account management and leadership roles at a leading IP and brand protection firm, with responsibilities spanning product management, strategic development, and board-level positions. His combined commercial and technical expertise makes him a trusted advisor for maximizing the value of digital assets.

Katri Kiviniemi (FI)

Katri is an experienced IP professional specialising in trademark and design matters, advising clients on strategy, clearance, protection, and enforcement of business-critical assets. With 25 years of experience and a background in commercial law, she has supported leading companies across Finland and the Nordic region in both in-house and consulting roles.

In her current role at Castrén & Snellman, she manages global IP portfolios and the international protection and enforcement of brands and designs. She is an authorised trademark and design attorney in Finland and an EU trademark and design attorney, representing clients before the Finnish Patent and Registration Office, the Market Court, and the EUIPO.

Katri is currently also Chair of the ECTA Design Committee.

Cosmin Stana (RO)

Cosmin Stana joined Dennemeyer & Associates in 2012 as an IP specialist and currently serves as Head of International Recordals. In this role, he oversees client relationships and leads the activities of the international recordals department, ensuring efficient and accurate management of global IP recordal matters.

Cosmin is a registered European Trademark and Design Attorney and is also qualified as a Patent Attorney in Romania, enabling him to advise across trademark, design, and patent matters.

Antti Raukola (FI)

Antti is an IP Administrator at Castrén & Snellman specialising in trade mark, design, and domain name portfolio administration. He has extensive experience managing IP formalities and processes across EU and international systems, working closely with attorneys, clients, and IP offices to support the protection and enforcement of rights across multiple jurisdictions.

He is currently completing his M.Sc. in Intellectual Property Law and Corporate Law and has further strengthened his practical expertise through the EUIPO ETMD EP course for IP paralegals. Known for his precise and pragmatic approach, he is skilled with working on complex cross-border and multi-jurisdictional IP administration.

Lucie Jones (UK)

Lucie has 20 years of international IP experience across the UK, France, Japan, and New Zealand. She is recognised for providing proactive, accurate, and responsive support, with particular strength in managing complex patent portfolios. She has worked with clients ranging from large multinational companies to individual inventors, across sectors including medical devices, biotechnology, sustainable energy, telecommunications, and payment technologies.

Lucie obtained the European Patent Administration Certification (EPAC) in 2022, and was among the first to pass the newly introduced APPC (Advanced Patent Paralegal Course) organized by CIPA, in 2025. She currently serves as Chair of the CIPA Paralegal Committee.

Linn Engeseth (NO)

Linn has more than ten years of paralegal experience in the legal industry. She is currently working as an IP Administrator at Bryn Aarflot, where she manages a broad range of trademark-related paralegal tasks across the full trademark lifecycle. In addition, Linn is a key member of the firm’s Digital IP Services team, where she works with domain name management and brand protection services, supporting clients in safeguarding and enforcing their rights in digital environments.

Alexander Bjørnå (NO)

Alexander Johann Bjørnå is an experienced IP manager focused on creating tangible business value through strategic IP management. He brings more than 25 years of experience, including 15 years as an in-house IP manager and over 10 years as an IP consultant. At a leading Norwegian IP firm, he previously held the roles of Head of Patents and Head of Business Development.

Alexander is also a serial entrepreneur, having founded three companies, and has served as Chairman of the Board of the Norwegian IP Cluster, IP-Norge. He holds a master’s degree in biotechnology and nutrition science from BOKU in Vienna, an LLM in IP Management from CEIPI in Strasbourg, and is a qualified European Patent Attorney.

Petter Andrésen (NO)

Petter Andrésen is an experienced IP professional with more than 25 years of experience from both private practice and in-house roles. He currently heads the IP administration department at Bryn Aarflot, drawing on extensive expertise in IP portfolio management gained through his previous roles as a patent administrator and IP Operations Manager at Yara International.

Petter is certified through the European Patent Office (EPAC) and the EUIPO (ETMD EP). He actively supports professional development in the IP paralegal community by facilitating study groups and serving as a Chair of the Norwegian Association of IP Administrators (NAIPA).
